Relief from lower-back strain
The main reason people book it. We work the muscles compensating for the postural change, with no manipulation and no deep pressure.

From the second trimester onwards, with support cushions that let you lie on your side without pressure on the abdomen, gentle strokes and neutral oils free of essential oils. It eases lower-back strain, heavy legs and difficulty resting.
The weight of pregnancy isn't distributed: it concentrates in the lower back and pelvis.
From the second trimester the centre of gravity shifts forward and the spine compensates by arching. That sustained curvature over months overloads the lumbar region, pelvis and legs, and is the source of most pregnancy discomfort.
Prenatal massage adapts to that reality: never face down, side-lying with cushions between the knees and under the abdomen, gentle pressure and no deep work. Oils are neutral, without essential oils, since several are not advised during pregnancy.

Gentle drainage strokes toward the heart that ease heaviness and end-of-day fluid retention.
Sleeping with a bump is uncomfortable by definition. Lowering muscular and nervous tension helps you fall asleep and wake less often.
In pregnancy almost all the attention goes to the baby. This hour belongs to the mother, and for many that's what they appreciate most.
This is the only treatment on our menu for which we ask for clearance from your midwife or obstetrician before booking. It isn't a formality: we are not healthcare professionals and are not in a position to assess your pregnancy. If your clinician gives the go-ahead, we adapt the session to whatever they advise.
Price per person. Individual session in a private room.
From week 13, that is the second trimester. We don't perform this massage in the first trimester. It's a widely held precaution in the sector rather than a medical rule: if your obstetrician advises otherwise, do tell us.
We ask you to check with your midwife or obstetrician before booking. You don't need to bring a document, but you do need to have asked. If your pregnancy is under any special monitoring, it's essential.
Never face down. We work side-lying with support cushions between the knees and under the abdomen, switching sides halfway through. We can also work semi-seated if that's more comfortable for you.
Neutral vegetable oil, with no essential oils. Several essential oils are not advised during pregnancy, so none are used in this treatment. If you'd rather no oil were used on a particular area, just say.
Yes, with gentle pressure, and it's often the most welcome part given the swelling. There's a belief that certain ankle points can induce labour; the evidence doesn't support it, but as a precaution we work that area superficially and without sustained pressure.
60 minutes (€80) is the most common and comfortable. 30 minutes (€50) works well for lower back and legs only. 90 minutes can feel long when pregnant, so we don't recommend it unless you ask.
