Therapeutic Foot Reflexology

Your feet carry your entire weight, all day long. The sole holds a reflex map of every organ and joint in the body: worked with precise pressure and botanical balms, the release doesn't stay in the foot — it travels through the whole system.

What it is and where it comes from

The sole of the foot is a miniature map of the body.

Each zone of the sole corresponds to an organ, a gland or a joint. Pressing a specific point sends a nerve signal to the region it belongs to.

In Thailand it is known as Nuad Thao and has been part of traditional medicine for more than two thousand years, passed down in temples alongside classical Thai massage.

What you'll feel

Relief for tired feet and plantar fasciitis

The most common reason people book this. Sustained pressure on the fascia and heel work ease that first-steps-of-the-morning stiffness.

Lighter legs

The upward calf massage supports venous return. Especially useful if you spend long hours standing or walking the city.

Deeper sleep

Stimulating the parasympathetic nervous system lowers the body's alert state. Many clients describe sleeping straight through that night.

Reflex support for digestion

The zones linked to the digestive system sit along the inner arch, and working them encourages transit and a lighter feeling.

Who it's for — and who should check first

Especially good if you

  • Work long hours on your feet — hospitality, retail, healthcare, hairdressing
  • Are visiting Barcelona and have spent days walking the city
  • Have plantar fasciitis, a heel spur or arch pain
  • Get heavy or swollen legs by the end of the day
  • Run or train and want to look after the posterior chain
  • Struggle to switch off but don't fancy a full-body massage

Talk to us first if you

  • Are pregnant — certain reflex points are avoided; we offer a dedicated prenatal massage
  • Have diagnosed thrombosis, phlebitis or circulatory conditions
  • Have open wounds, fungal infections or active plantar warts
  • Are diabetic with peripheral neuropathy
  • Are less than six weeks from a foot or ankle fracture or surgery

This is not a substitute for medical treatment. If in doubt, message us before booking and we'll review your case with no obligation.

Frequently asked questions

Does foot reflexology hurt?

It shouldn't. You may feel brief sharp sensations when a loaded zone is pressed, but it passes in seconds and is usually described as the kind of discomfort that relieves. We always work within your threshold — one word and the therapist adjusts the pressure immediately.

Do I need to undress?

No. You stay clothed for the whole session. Only your feet and lower legs are uncovered, and you recline in an armchair rather than lying on a massage table.

How long does it take and what does it cost?

Four durations are available: 30 minutes for €50, 45 minutes for €60, 60 minutes for €80 and 90 minutes for €110. For a first visit we recommend 45 or 60 minutes — 30 minutes gives a quick release but doesn't cover the full plantar map.

Is this the same as a regular foot massage?

No. A foot massage aims to relax the tissue in that area. Reflexology works specific points following the plantar map, intending to stimulate parts of the body far from the foot. In practice our session includes both: the reflex work and the muscular release of foot and calf.

How often should I come back?

If you work on your feet or have plantar fasciitis, every two weeks at first, then monthly for maintenance. If you're coming for general rest, once a month is plenty.

Can I book same day?

Usually yes. We're at Portal de l'Àngel 4, right in central Barcelona, and we often have same-day availability. The fastest way is to message us on WhatsApp and we'll confirm a time straight away.
